Duties
We are seeking highly motivated and organized applicants to join our team. The Senior Scientific Officer / Scientific Officer positions will facilitate the development and execution of novel scientific strategies at our state-of-the-art laboratory. The successful applications will assist in project management of research programs, write project proposals and reports, manage stakeholder relations and handle external communications, etc.
Requirements
For the Scientific Officer position, the ideal candidate has a Ph.D. degree or doctorate degree in life sciences or a related field, with a minimum of 5 -7 years of hands-on experience working in a research setting. Work experience in neuroscience is an asset but not necessary. For the Senior Scientific Officer position, a minimum of 8 years of managerial experience is required. Relevant experience in standard molecular biology and neuroscience-related techniques is a must. Technical writing experience is required. This position is ideal for an individual who can work independently in a thriving complex environment with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Salary and Benefits
A highly competitive salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience in addition to medical and dental benefits as well as annual leave. The appointment will be offered a two-year contract, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
