Prof. Zhenguo Wu is the Professor of the Division of Life Science at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), the Director of Center for Stem Cell Research and HKUST-SIAT Joint Lab for Brain Science. He also serves as Associate Director of Biotechnology Research Institute at HKUST. He currently co-leads the research program of “Identifying Systemic Targets and Strategies for Alzheimer’s Disease” at Hong Kong Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (HKCeND).
Prof. Wu’s research aims to elucidate the roles of various intracellular signaling pathways that are involved in regulating adult muscle stem cells and skeletal muscle differentiation. He has published over 70 research articles in journals including Cell Stem Cell, Cell Research, Cell Reports, Dev Cell, EMBO J and PNAS. In addition, he has earned the Overseas Distinguished Young Scholar fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
