Duties
- Perform routine laboratory tests
- Carry out maintenance of equipment and QC/QA procedures
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of laboratory facility
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervisors
- Maintain and operate all shared laboratory facilities
- Assist in R&D projects as required
- Manage the inventory of laboratory equipment and items
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for the laboratory
- Assist in the procurement of laboratory equipment and reagents
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or higher degree in biological sciences or related disciplines
- Experience in working in life science core facility or hands-on experience in the area(s) above
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and quick to learn
- Proficiency in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin
- Part I / II registration as a Medical Laboratory Technologist issued by the HKMLT Board
- Experience in a clinical core laboratory and familiarity with HOKLAS accreditation are preferred
Salary and Benefits
Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience. Medical and dental benefits as well as annual leave will be provided. Appointment will be offered on a contract basis, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
