Duties
We are seeking highly motivated and organized applicants to join our team. The Senior Scientist / Scientist positions will facilitate the development and execution of novel scientific strategies at our state-of-the-art laboratory. The successful applicants will be responsible for overseeing the administration of neuroscience research programs, management of financial and human resources, sponsor and volunteer relations, and external communications.
Requirements
For the Scientist positions, the ideal candidate has a Ph.D. degree in life sciences or a related field, with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience working in a research setting. Experience in the area of neuroscience is an asset but not necessary. For the Senior Scientist position, a minimum of five years of managerial experience is required. Relevant experience in standard molecular biology and neuroscience-related techniques is a must. Technical writing experience is required. This position is ideal for an individual who can work independently in a thriving complex environment with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Salary and Benefits
A highly competitive salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience in addition to medical and dental benefits as well as annual leave. The appointment will be offered a two-year contract, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
