Prof. Henrik Zetterberg is Professor of Neurochemistry at University College London and the University of Gothenburg, and is a consultant in clinical chemistry at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden. He leads the UK Dementia Research Institute Fluid Biomarker Laboratory at University College London, and is Head of the Department of Psychiatry and Neurochemistry at the University of Gothenburg. He is also a key member of Hong Kong Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases.
With a background in molecular biology and medicine, Prof. Zetterberg has spent the past 15 years focusing on the development of biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease and other neurological disorders. A highly accomplished and prolific scientist, he has published more than 1,200 papers and has received numerous prestigious awards, which include the Parkinson Research Foundation Research Award (2015), the Alzheimer Foundation Grand Research Award (2014), and the Inga Sandeborg Prize for the research on Alzheimer’s disease (2012).
